DVR Applications
Equipment Diagnostics Video recording of machinery, that is failing intermittently (or has problems that are difficult to detect with the naked eye), can be a useful diagnostic tool. Combined with our high speed camera series, REWV-CP500HD, images can be recorded up to 1/10,000 second. Stop action image-by-image review can be extraordinarily helpful in locating a problem. Training Recording the production process over a period of time and then editing it down to the key essentials can be useful in training new or relief operators. Maintenance personnel can learn from previous recorded maintenance projects. This can be a valuable addition to a service manual and speeds up the learning curve. Production Analysis When a DVR is added to a system you can record an extended period of production. Reviewing this recording, sometimes at high speed, or being able to stop and observe individual images, can often reveal areas to improve efficiency. Perhaps you can see why downtime is occurring, how bottlenecks can be eliminated or how to speed up material flow. A percentage point or two of improvement can pay for a DVR in short order and improve your bottom line. Inventory Control Do you have a store room where it’s difficult to keep control of what’s going where? A DVR and a few cameras can provide a trackable record. Security Parking lots for theft reduction and employee security, lunch room vandalism, unauthorized people on premises, perimeter protection, monitoring remote access points, are areas where a DVR is useful. Internet Access An I.P. addressable DVR can be connected a LAN, WAN, or the Internet and be accessed by one or more PCs. If you connect your current analog cameras to the DVR they, too, become viewable live through the DVR connection. Many DVR functions are also remote controllable through a PC depending on user access security protocols.
